Bacolod Tay Tung High School won the Cebu-Bacolod Goodwill Games at Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Mandaue City, Cebu over the weekend after scoring a 25-13, 25-16, 25-13 win over the University of San Jose-Recoletos.

Alyssa Bertolano, Shane Carmona, and Joan Marie Monares led Tay Tung in the finals.

The event served as a warm up for the Bacolod City-based school ahead of the upcoming 2020 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) Meet.

“Slowly, but surely, the girls are getting [into] the rhythm but there are still more adjustments to be made,” said Tay Tung assistant coach Biboy Calamba. “There are still three weeks to go before WVRAA Meet; we can still iron that kinks.”/ASC, WDJ
