Police arrested a man Saturday afternoon on drug charges in Estancia’s Barangay Poblacion. Authorities identified the suspect as 29-year-old John Mark Luena of the town’s Barangay Tabuan.
According to police, the suspect was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P500.
A subsequent search revealed five additional sachets of suspected shabu, along with the buy-bust money.
Luena is currently detained at the Estancia Municipal Police Station.
Last month, a suspected drug offender was arrested in their home in Estancia’s Barangay Lumbia. Authorities identified the suspect as 41-year-old Danny Bernas.
Police made the arrest after serving a warrant on suspicions of possession of an unlicensed firearm. Following a search, law enforcement recovered a 12-gauge shotgun with ammunition, along with three sachets of suspected shabu.
Authorities were tipped off after the suspect was said to have fired the gun often./WDJ
