A minor earthquake was detected just north of Sipalay City early yesterday morning.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, a 2.3-magnitude tremor struck the Negros Occidental city around 2:40 a.m.
A subsequent bulletin from the government agency indicated there were no damages as a result of the quake nor were there any anticipated aftershocks.
