‘Masked’ couples tie the knot in Bacolod City mass wedding

Amid the ongoing threat from the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, the Bacolod City government provided masks for the 220 couples that tied the knot last Thursday in a mass wedding at the Bacolod City Government Center.
Prior to the ceremony, the couples were required to complete health declaration forms with the City Health Office, where they provided their health status and travel history for the past 14 days.
Present for the ceremony were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who officiated the ceremony; Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya; Philippine Statistics Authority-Negros Occidental head Luis Gonzales; City Civil Registrar Hermilo Pa-oyon; various members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod; among other city officials./DGB, WDJ
