Iloilo City, BFAR-6 form mudcrab farming partnership

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas and City Agriculturist Office officer-in-charge, Engr. Noel Z. Hechanova, recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Region VI (BFAR-6) on mudcrab farming.
The agreement, which was also signed by BFAR-6 Assistant Director Carlito Delfin and Iloilo Provincial Fisheries officer-in-charge Erwin E. Ilaya, seeks effective implementation and operations, along with good governance, for fisheries projects.
Through the agreement, City Hall will facilitate the mobilization of beneficiaries and assist BFAR in field monitoring; while BFAR-6 will disseminate information, render actual demonstration of fishing techniques, and conduct monitoring and evaluation./WDJ
