Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson assured three major projects being undertaken the provincial government, namely, the Mambukal Convention Hotel, Negros Residences, and Pala-pala Food Terminal, will be operational by June.
The governor explained, the delay in completion of the Pala-pala Food Terminal was due to overlapping properties and problems with informal settlers. He added, the road clearing operations ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte solved the informal settler issue.
Meanwhile, the original contract with the contractor for the Negros Residences was completed but Lacson said additional jobs involving tiling, air-conditioning installation, and electrical work still needed to be done.
Additionally, the Mambukal Convention Hotel faced delays after a portion of the parapet collapsed./DGB, WDJ
