Emergency vehicles turned over to NegOcc localities, coast guard

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson recently led the turnover of firetrucks from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Bureau of Fire Protection-Negros Occidental to Pulupandan, La Carlota City, Escalante City, Talisay City, San Carlos City, and Bacolod City; along with a rescue/ambulance boat from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to the local Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
In addition, 200 wheelchairs and 26 pairs of eyeglasses from the Department of Health-Region VI, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, were distributed to senior citizens and members of the disabled community from across the province.
Also present for the event were Provincial Disaster Management Program Division head Dr. Zeaphard Caelian; Negros Occidental provincial fire marshal, Superintendent Pamela Rojane Candido; PCG-Negros Occidental chief, Lt. Commander Jansen Benjamin; Fatima Daiz of the DILG-Negros Occidental, among others./WDJ
