Toboso-born Merlito ‘Tiger’ Sabillo battles for the ASEAN Boxing Federation flyweight belt this weekend, February 15, against Sho Kimura of Japan. He hopes to break a three-fight losing streak. His last win came in 2017, defeating Crison Omayao via unanimous decision at the Barangay Granada covered court in Bacolod City.
For his Japanese opponent, he is also coming off a loss after failing to earn the World Boxing Association world light flyweight title after falling to Carlos Canizales via unanimous decision.
The Negrense fighter comes into bout with a 27-7-1 win-loss-draw record, while Kimura carries a 18-3-2 slate.
Meanwhile, among other fights, Richard Claveras of Silay City will take on Richard Rosales while Bacolodnon Reymar Condes battles Jayson Vayson./ASC, WDJ
