A 54-year-old man was wounded last Thursday after he was shot for refusing a drink in La Carlota City. Police identified the victim as Nestor Tomala, a truck driver and resident of Toboso.
Based on a report by the La Carlota City Police Station, the shooting incident transpired after the victim refused having drinks with 62-year-old Ernesto Sayco.
Tomala sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh and was rushed to Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but was later referred to a hospital in Bacolod City.
The suspect was immediately arrested after the incident and may face criminal charges./DGB, WDJ
