The Lopue’s Table Tennis Association-University of St. La Salle (LOPTTA-USLS) won during the table tennis competition at the 2020 Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet last week at Robinsons Place Roxas in Capiz.
The women’s team, comprised of Mariella Mabaquiao, Angeli Bayang, Cherrica Michelle Uytiepo, Alyssa Kyla Tolosa, and Ashley Ann Santander, took the championship after scoring a 3-1 win over Central Philippine University.
The team will represent the Western Visayas in the National PRISAA this April in Tuguegarao City.
Meanwhile, Angeli Bayang won silver in women’s singles, Cherrica Michelle Uytiepo and Alyssa Kyla Tolosa finished second in women’s doubles, Nelgen Ablao and Jopet Epe took bronze in tertiary men’s doubles, Micah Tanate captured gold in high school girls’ singles, and George Saligumba came in third in the high school category.
