GenSan secures playoff berth

Negrense guard Robbie Celiz led the GenSan Warriors in their recent 104-87 win over the Sarangani Marlins in the ongoing 2019/2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League-Lakan Cup at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.
The victory secured their spot in the playoffs.
“We continue to learn from all those mistakes,” said GenSan coach Rich Alvarez. “We don’t have a veteran team, maybe one or two guys only.”
“We have to be mentally prepared,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pamboy Raymundo contributed 22 points built on four triples, along with seven assists, for GenSan; while Mikey Williams added 18 markers, seven dimes, and five rebounds; and Delmar Mahaling scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Onin Catacutan and Narciso Llagas each registered 17 points for Sarangani./ASC, WDJ
