A man was shot dead in Kabankalan City last Tuesday in the city’s Barangay 2. Authorities identified the fatality as 35-year-old  John Pail Artisano of the said neighborhood.

Kabankalan City Police Station officer-in-charge, Police Lt. Colonel Rose Mary Salve Pico, said the victim was declared dead-on-arrival at Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital after sustaining a gunshot to the nape of his neck with an exit wound on the left side of his face.

Police recovered one empty shell from a .45 caliber firearm and one cellular phone from the crime scene.

The unidentified suspect reportedly fled toward an unknown direction./WDJ
