Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas is permitting flower vendors to operate at Jaro Plaza and Iloilo Central Market ahead of Valentine’s Day, which falls on Friday, February 14. Vendors can begin selling at the plaza and along the sidewalk in front of the market beginning today.
Vendors will only be allowed to sell until tomorrow.
Street vendors had earlier been cleared as part of a nationwide order from President Rodrigo Duterte.
Meanwhile, in Bacolod City, a request for a “Summer Sale” at the Bacolod Public Plaza in April was denied by the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod.
