The Iloilo City government recently recognized a traffic aide and taxi driver for their acts of goodwill. Last month, taxi driver Ryan Evangelista returned a wallet containing P10,000 in cash to a passenger, while traffic aide Jonji Belarma of Public Safety and Transportation Management Office returned an endorsed check found on the street.

City Councilors Carlos Javellana, Rudolph Jeffrey Ganzon, and Irene Ong presented each with a certificate and P2,000.

The citation read: “Their commendable displays of values are certainly worthy of recognition and should serve as an inspiration to all Ilonggos.”/WDJ
