P234K worth of shabu seized in Bacolod City

At least P234,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized late Thursday night following a buy-bust operation at Bacolod City’s Barangay 12. Police identified the arrested as 38-year-old Samuel Sumagaysay, 40-year-old Melanie del Valle, and 33-year-old Sergio Rivera.
Based on a report issued by Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, the three were arrested after they sold one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500.
A follow-up search yielded a total of 17 sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 29.3 grams, drug paraphernalia, the P500 in marked money, and suspected drug proceeds amounting to P960.
