Midfielder Manuel Ott recently announced his return to Ceres-Negros FC following a stint with Thai League 1 club Ratchaburi Mitr Phol. The player rejoined the Bacolod City-based club ahead of the 2020 AFC Cup which begins next week.
“I’m very happy coming back home,” the midfielder said. “Ceres has always been a part of my family and I’m just excited about it.”
He also discussed the status of his recovery from a shin injury last season.
“Everything was running smoothly but the injury wasn’t something you plan for,” Ott explained. “It’s done, I got over it, and now I just want to move forward getting back to where I was.”
“After my injury and after a long season without really playing,” he added. “I’m really looking to get back in the competition and help the team.”
In addition, the midfielder expressed excitement about returning to the AFC Cup.
“I’ve missed competing int he AFC Cup,” Ott said. “There’s a lot of pride and honor in playing in continental competition with Ceres-Negros.”
