The Iloilo City government, in coordination with Globe Telecom, will connect 65 public schools across the city to the internet.
“We want to start them young so that they can adapt easily,” said Mayor Jerry P. Treñas. “I am now in the process of finding out how many have internet connections and how many do not because we will be providing [for] all the public schools in the city.”
Meanwhile, Globe Telecom Chief Executive Officer Ernest Cu characterized communication and connectivity “basic forms of infrastructure that are essential to the progress of the city.”/WDJ
