Suspect: The supplier is in Bacolod City
Two suspected drug dealers who are said to be members of the Odicta drug group were arrested last Wednesday in Barangay Tanza-Esperanza, located in Iloilo City’s City Proper district. Police identified the suspects as Ariel Pampag of the said neighborhood and June Sison, a resident of Barangay Flores, located in the said city district.
According to Iloilo City Drug Enforcement Unit chief, Police Lieutenant Rene Matulac, police units agreed to a transaction of P30,000. The two were eventually nabbed for selling one big sachet of suspected shabu worth P30,000 to an undercover police officer.
Police confiscated a total nine sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P150,000.
Based on reports, Pampag was a driver for former Barangay Tanza-Esperanza Captain Noel Odicta, the younger brother of Melvin Odicta. Sison, meanwhile, was a former helper. It is said the pair served as “errand men” for the barangay official.
“They were drivers of the former barangay captain while they also engaged in a drug trade under the group of Melvin Odicta,” the police official explained.
Pampag admitted to engaging in the illegal drug trade and used a supplier in Bacolod City; however, he refused to mention a name as they use different aliases./WDJ
