Kaya FC unveils new players, coach

Kaya FC-Iloilo recently unveiled new players, along with their new coach, ahead of the 2020 AFC Cup, which begins next week. The Iloilo City-based club introduced their new signings, Japanese winger Daizo Horikoshi and defender Carlyle Mitchell of Trinidad and Tobago.
In addition, Oliver ‘Bingbing’ Colina was revealed to be Noel Marcaida’s replacement as head coach.
Horikoshi comes to Kaya after suiting up for Albirex Niigata Singapore FC, who finished fourth in the 2019 Singapore Premier League. In his 19 league appearances, he scored six goals.
Last Tuesday, he scored two goals in their 5-0 win during a tune-up against Stallion Laguna FC.
Meanwhile, Mitchell previously played three seasons with MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
He most recently suited up for TT Pro League club St. Ann’s Rangers.
With regard to the new coach, Colina previously coached Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, leading them to several secondary boys’ football titles./ASC, WDJ
