Snatchers crash motorcycle, mauled in Pahanocoy

Two suspected snatchers were injured after their motorcycle crashed late Tuesday night and were subsequently mauled by an angry mob along Araneta Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay Pahanocoy. Police identified the arrested suspects as Ronnie Yalon and Remeo Mesa.
Based on a report released by Police Station 6 (PS6), the suspects victimized Florence May Catacata after snatching her iPhone 6, worth P20,000, while aboard their motorcycle. However, as the suspects attempted to make their getaway, they struck a pedestrian and crashed their motorcycle.
Angry bystanders immediately mobbed the suspects and mauled them until a PS6 police vehicle, which happened to be passing by, pacified the mob and arrested the suspects.
Authorities recovered the stolen mobile phone, as well as the motorcycle used by the suspects.
The two face criminal charges and are presently detained at PS6./DGB, WDJ
