The University of the Philippines (UP) is scheduled to play San Beda University next month, March 15, in Iloilo City. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the University of San Agustin gym. According to Rodolfo Go Villaruz, San Beda agreed to play in place of Southwestern University, who were originally supposed to face UP.
James Canlas, John Bahio, Franz Abuda, Pedro Alfaro III, Kemark Carino, Damie Cuntapay, along with last year’s MVP Calvin Oftana are expected to suit up for San Beda, who lost last year’s NCAA championship to Colegio de San Juan de Letrán.
Meanwhile, Ricci Rivero, Kobe Paras, Bright Akhuetie, David Murrell, as well as some of their new recruits are set to lead UP in the upcoming UAAP season./ASC, WDJ
