Motorcycle was operating against the flow of traffic

Two individuals aboard a motorcycle were killed last Tuesday after they struck a cargo truck at Sitio Macho in Calatrava’s Barangay Minapasok. Authorities identified the fatalities as 34-year-old Junryl Nepalar Yangyang and 33-year-old Pedro Nepalar Pesanon, both residents of the said neighborhood.

According to police, the motorcycle was attempting to pass a tricycle and, while operating on the wrong side of the road, lost control and crashed into a cargo truck driven by 39-year-old Ariel Paner.

The pair fell off from the motorcycle and were declared dead-on-arrival at the Calatrava District Hospital.

Paner is currently under police custody./WDJ
