A resident of Bago City’s Barangay Abuanan was arrested Monday afternoon following a buy-bust at Purok Sampaguita, located in the said neighborhood. Authorities identified the arrested suspect as 35-year-old Ryan Llanes, who serves as a carpenter for the barangay.
The bust was led by Bago City Police Station chief, Police Major John Joel Batusbatusan, and 2nd Negros Occidental Police Mobile Force Company-2nd Platoon commander, Police Captain Ramel Bustamante, where four heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, P5,000 in buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, one mobile phone, and cash proceeds amounting to P85 were seized.
The suspect is currently detained at the Bago City Police Station on charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
