Police: Accident caused by faulty brakes

A native of Bacolod City died last Monday afternoon after the truck they were riding plunged off a cliff at Sitio Balaobalaoan in Bayawan City’s Barangay Nangka. Authorities identified the fatality as 19-year-old Jake Osyal Librando.
According to police, the truck operated by 28-year-old Jemar Araneta Jison, which was loaded with passengers and merchandise, reached a downhill curve when the driver encountered brake failure, resulting in the vehicle driving off the cliff.
Several others were injured and were brought to Bayawan City District Hospital for treatment./WDJ
