Winners named in LOPTTA

Table tennis players from across the province recently took part in the Bacoloadiat Invitational Table Tennis Championship, which was hosted by the Lopue’s Table Tennis Association (LOPTTA), at the LOPTTA venue located at Lopue’s San Sebastian.
The winners include Nicole Camile Bomban in the girls’ 10-and-under, Daryl Gorecho in the boys’ 10-and-under, Neka Daguia – girls’ 13-and-under, Anton Andre Bayona – boys’ 13-and-under, Micah Tanate – girls’ 18-and-under, Areanel Ariola – boys’ 18-and-under, Frances Ellaine Arguelles  – women’s open, Ruby Ann Longno – women’s executive A, Timon Villanueva – women’s executive B,  Ervin Bomban – men’s executive, and Felipe Epitacio – veterans.
“It is our mission-vision to host and organize world class quality tournaments like this,” LOPTTA President Leonito D. Lopue said ahead of the competition. “Watching young athletes enjoying their games and develop camaraderie will greatly enhance the development of table tennis in Negros.”
He noted, events like the Bacoloadiat Invitational provide players an “opportunity to excel.”
The Lopue’s National Open and an age-group competition are set to take place in March./WDJ
