Molo Police Station struck by fire

A fire razed portions of the Molo Police Station, including the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD), yesterday in Iloilo City.
Authorities report smoke was first spotted coming from the WCPD, which is located on the second floor, around 2:40 p.m.
Police immediately vacated three inmates who were detained in the nearby holding cell due to the thick smoke.
According to Iloilo City Police Office spokesperson, Police Captain Shella Mae Sangrines, there were no officers on duty at the WCPD at the time of the fire.
She noted, police uniforms, a firearm, and important documents were burned./WDJ
