Atty. John Orola resigned as Bacolod City administrator effective yesterday with former City Councilor Em Ang assuming the post today. In a press conference yesterday, Mayor Evelio Leonardia publicly accepted the resignation and, immediately after, declared the staffing change.
“I will accept the resignation of Orola effective the end of office hours today and will appoint Ang as the new city administrator,” he stated.
In his letter, the outgoing city official noted, “I will be able to give more of myself to the city if I focus and devote my time helping you and your administration in the areas of tourism, housing investments, job generation, and other special concerns.”
Meanwhile, Ang, who was term limited in the last elections, expressed her appreciation to the mayor for the opportunity./DGB, WDJ
