The Negros Occidental men’s tertiary football team, which is represented by the University of St. La Salle (USLS) at the ongoing 2020 Western Visayas Private Schools’ Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet, yesterday scored a 5-0 win over Iloilo’s Western Institute of Technology to win the men’s tertiary event at the Villareal Stadium in Roxas City, Capiz.
Charles Dabao, Adrian Janillo, and Lean Perez made it 3-0 within the first 20 minutes of the match. Harl Barbon and Mark Gumayao then closed the match with goals in the 82nd and 88th minutes.
Meanwhile, in the secondary boys’ competition, Iloilo, represented by Central Philippine University, leveled their best-of-three series with a 2-1 win over Negros Occidental, which is also represented by USLS.
