Kabankalan City’s Roldan Aldea retained his Games and Amusement Board (GAB) lightweight belt over the weekend at the Flash Grand Ballroom, located at the Elorde Sports Complex in Parañaque City, after his opponent, Monico Laurente, chose not to continue the fight after the second round.
With the victory, the Negrense boxer improved to a 15-8-1 win-loss-draw record, along with notching his ninth stoppage win. Laurente, meanwhile, saw his slate drop to 30-17-0 with seven knockout wins.
In the other main event, Carlo Caesar Peñalosa of San Carlos City failed to clinch the GAB flyweight title against Alphoe Dagayloan after the judges ruled the result a draw.
