Three drug offenders were arrested Monday afternoon following a buy-bust operation in Silay City’s Barangay Mambulac.
Silay City Police Station officer-in-charge, Police Major Rollie Pondevilla, identified the suspects as 52-year-old Rolando Benetua, Jr.; along with live-in partners, 18-year-old Andrea Robles and 26-year-old Car Jun Rivera. All are residents of the said neighborhood.
Benetua was arrested around 1:25 p.m. at Zone 4 with police seizing 11 sachets of suspected shabu worth P45,000; meanwhile, the couple was nabbed five minutes later at Zone 3 as arresting officers confiscated seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing four grams with an estimated market value of P60,000.
The three are detained at the Silay City Police Station and face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
