ICPO: Festivities were peaceful

Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) director, Police Colonel Martin Defensor, said this year’s Dinagyang Festival was peaceful.
“We achieved our goal, which was to record zero major criminal incidents throughout the entire Dinagyang Festival,” he stated.
In terms of other incidents, ICPO reports three cases of physical injury, which is lower than the five recorded last year.
Meanwhile, there were no reported cases of theft.
In addition, Police Regional Office-6 intensified their anti-criminality campaign and public safety operations, which, according to a release from their office, contributed to keeping the celebration generally peaceful./WDJ
