Asi Taulava recently announced he would be extending his contract with the NLEX Road Warriors, which will make him the only player to remains active in four decades. The 46-year-old Tonga native first joined the PBA in 1999 and has earned titles such as MVP; Player of the Conference; Finals MVP; along with a championship in 2003 with the TNT KaTropa.
“Most likely, he will return,” said NLEX head coach Joseller ‘Yeng’ Guiao. “We are still determining if we are going to give him a conference－a half-year contract or a full-year.”
The head coach said Taulava will be key for the “transition period.”
Meanwhile, Guiao said they will be signing Will McAloney, Mike Ayonayon, and Amiel Soberano; while extending the contract for Ilonggo guard Jericho Cruz./ASC, WDJ
