Taulava makes history, extends with NLEX

Asi Taulava recently announced he would be extending his contract with the NLEX Road Warriors, which will make him the only player to remains active in four decades. The 46-year-old Tonga native first joined the PBA in 1999 and has earned titles such as MVP; Player of the Conference; Finals MVP; along with a championship in 2003 with the TNT KaTropa.
“Most likely, he will return,” said NLEX head coach Joseller ‘Yeng’ Guiao. “We are still determining if we are going to give him a conference-a half-year contract or a full-year.”
The head coach said Taulava will be key for the “transition period.”
Meanwhile, Guiao said they will be signing Will McAloney, Mike Ayonayon, and Amiel Soberano; while extending the contract for Ilonggo guard Jericho Cruz./ASC, WDJ
