Tribu Paghidaet wins Dinagyang 360°

Tribu Paghidaet of La Paz National High School was named the winner of the Dinagyang 360° ati tribes contest last night during the Dinagyang Festival highlights in Iloilo City. The champions, who also won Best in Music, Best in Choreography, and Best in Performance, along with sweeping the special awards-Best in Discipline, Best in Production Design, and People’s Choice-took home P1,000,000 in cash and a trophy.
The winners unseated last year’s winner, Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni National High School, who finished as second runner-up. Aside from the P300,000 cash prize and trophy, they were also named Best in Sadsad, along with Best in Costume Design and Headdress.
Meanwhile, Tribu Panayanon finished first runner-up and Tribu Salognon was the third runner-up.
A new addition to this year’s event, each of the eight participating schools are guaranteed P1 million worth of projects as a participation prize.
Ahead of last weekend’s festival highlights, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas promised this year would be the biggest in city history.
“Amo ni ang pinaka daku nga Dinagyang Festival sa syudad sang Iloilo (This will be Iloilo City’s biggest Dinagyang Festival),” he affirmed./WDJ
