The Fo Guang Shan Bacolod Yuan Thong Temple, located along Burgos Extension in Bacolod City’s Barangay Villamonte, will be open to the public starting at 2:00 p.m. today in observance of the Lunar New Year, which takes place tomorrow, January 25.
Events are planned to welcome the new year with an opening prayer at 11:00 p.m. and the ringing of the bell at midnight.
The observance will also be celebrated with a cultural show, lion and dragon dances, among other events.
Meanwhile, the annual Bacolaodiat Festival, which celebrates the Lunar New Year, begins next Friday, January 31./WDJ
