Two people were killed Monday evening after the motorcycle they were riding struck a warning device left out by a broken down truck at Hacienda Maquina in Silay City’s Barangay Rizal. Police identified the fatalities as motorcyclist Roger Deligiro of the city’s Barangay E. Lopez and his backrider, Lito Peligro of the city’s Barangay 2.
According to police, the motorcyclist and his passenger failed to notice the warning device and crashed along the road. The pair were rushed to Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Provincial Hospital but were later declared dead by the attending physician.
The driver of the truck, Erwin James Baylon Delit, had pulled his vehicle over after experiencing mechanical trouble./WDJ
