Ahead of tonight’s game against San Juan Knights, the Iloilo United Royals announced the signing of Felixberto ‘Janjan’ Jaboneta IV, who is expected to boost the team in the ongoing 2019-2020

Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup. Iloilo team owner JJ Javelosa touted the addition of the former University of the Philippines (UP) forward.
“He is a good addition to the team,” he said. “He could have played for us last Saturday [against Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines] but he just joined the team practice recently.”
Jaboneta, a homegrown player from Oton, played five seasons with UP and had previously suited up for Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
“We want to prioritize players who have Ilonggo roots,” Javelosa added.
The Ilonggo club is currently in talks to acquire another homegrown player./ASC, WDJ
