After being named the sixth overall pick in the 2019 PBA rookie draft, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters head coach Carlos Garcia confirmed signing a two-year rookie deal with Ilonggo guard Clint Doliguez. Prior to joining the PBA, the Iloilo City native played for Hua Siong College of Iloilo, Ateneo de Manila University, and San Beda University.
Adrian Wong, Rashleigh Rivero, and Vince Tolentino also signed rookie deals with the Painters.
Meanwhile, Rain or Shine center Jewel Ponferada was extended a new contract while Chris Exciminiano’s extension was put on hold after suffering a ruptured Achilles, which will keep him off the court for the rest of the year.
