Following recent anti-drug operations in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) deputy director, Police Lt. Colonel Jovie Espenido, revealed one of the individuals they were targeting voluntarily surrendered to him. He identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jimboy Malan, a resident of the neighborhood’s Sitio Sibucao.
The BCPO official, who also leads the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said Malan surrendered following talks with his mother, who convinced the suspect.
Espenido also assured Malan’s safety as he prefers a surrender than to fight.
Earlier on Tuesday, Malan’s accomplices, 31-year-old Norlan Majometano, 49-year-old Jay Majometano, and 42-year-old Jerome Malan, were arrested by the CDEU in a buy-bust operation which resulted in the confiscation of P120,000 worth of suspected shabu./DGB, WDJ
