The 21st Lubay-lubay Festival kicked off yesterday in Cauayan with the opening of an agro trade fair that showcased products from the town’s 25 barangays. Cauayan Mayor John Rey Tabujara vowed this year’s festivities will be “grander than the previous years.”
The mayor noted, the prize for the street dancing competition, which will take place on Saturday, January 25, increased from last year.
He pointed out, while most of the ongoing festivals are conducted in honor of the Santo Niño, the Luba-lubay Festival pays homage to San Pablo, the town’s patron saint.
