Banago drug bust yields P120K in suspected shabu

Three suspected drug offenders were arrested yesterday morning following a buy-bust operation at Sitio Sibucao in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago. Police identified the arrested as 31-year-old Norlan Majometano, 49-year-old Jay Majometano, and 42-year-old Jerome Malan, all residents of the said area.
Bacolod City Police Office deputy director, Police Lt. Colonel Jovie Espenido, who also heads the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), was in the neighborhood that same day to discuss the area’s ongoing problem with illegal drugs and personally led the operation.
Police confiscated a total of 12 sachets of suspected shabu, which weighed around 10 grams and had a market value of approximately P120,000.
In addition, CDEU members also recovered the P1,000 in marked money, drug paraphernalia, and a mobile phone.
