Negros Press Club elects a new president

The Negros Press Club held their general assembly over the weekend, where they elected Daily Guardian and Manila Bulletin reporter Glazyl Masculino as president. The 27-year old, a former Watchmen Daily Journal reporter, is the youngest person to be elected president of the local press club.
She defeated Dolly Yasa, a former press club president, 63 votes to 42.
Other winners include Visayan Daily Star and CNN Philippines reporter Shiela Gelera as vice president, SunStar Bacolod reporter Erwin Nicavera—secretary, and Elsie Jolingan of Negros Daily Bulletin—auditor.
In addition, the board of directors includes Nona Magbanua, Eden Aboso, John Dale Salazar, and Dorel Cabatu of Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod; Yves Montecillo and Jemlo Victosa of RMN DYHB-Bacolod; Rey Siason of MUEWS Radio; Nanette Guadalquiver of the Philippine News Agency; and Max Macahilo of Negros Weekly.
