The Negros Occidental Provincial Veterinary Office assured, despite the recent eruption of the Taal Volcano in Batangas, there is a sufficient supply of dressed chickens and eggs with Provincial veterinarian, Dr. Renante Decena, pointing out, the province is supplying chickens to Panay.
He added, the province gets their eggs from Cebu’s Bantayan Island.
Meanwhile, Decena said he has not seen any price increases on eggs at local markets.
Calabarzon is the second largest producer of poultry and hogs in the country./DGB, WDJ
