A seven-year-old girl was killed after she was struck by a pick-up truck Friday afternoon at Sitio Campuestohan in Talisay City’s Barangay Cabatangan. Police have requested anonymity for both the victim and suspect.
Talisay City deputy police chief, Police Lieutenant Ray Cordero, said the minor was trying to cross the road when she was struck by the pick-up truck.
The victim was rushed to the Metro Bacolod General Hospital for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
The driver of the pick-up truck, whom Cordero identified as a resident of Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan, surrendered to police following the incident./DGB, WDJ
