Defender Carlie de Murga and Negrense forward Charles Baberan recently departed from Ceres-Negros FC ahead of next week’s AFC Champions League qualifying playoffs, where the three-time Philippines Football League champions will face 2019 Myanmar National League champions Shan United FC on Tuesday, January 14, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
The Bacolod City-based club made the announcement on social media last Wednesday.
De Murga, who spent five years with Ceres FC, will be joining Chonburi FC, who finished seventh in place the 2019 Thai League 1 season.
The two are the second and third players to leave the club during the winter break following midfielder Miguel Tanton.
However, Ceres FC has since acquired Hikaru Minegishi, Joshua Grommen, Mark Hartmann, and Arnie Pasinabo./ASC, WDJ
