A couple was nabbed following a drug buy-bust operation around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday at Bonbon Newsite in Silay City’s Barangay E. Lopez.

Police Major Rollie Pondevilla, Silay City OIC police chief, said they recovered eight sachets of suspected shabu using a P4,000 buy-bust money from the suspects identified as Ceasar Parreno, 62, and Ma. Shella Opao, both residents of the city.

The confiscated drugs weigh about 6 grams and have an estimated market value of P90,000.

The suspects were detained in lockup facility of the Silay City Police Station, facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
