The TNT KaTropa recently offered Bacolodnon guard Kib Montalbo a year-and-a-half contract after being named the 11th over selection during last month’s 2019 PBA Rookie Draft. TNT team manager Gabby Cui said the contract will be signed once the former De La Salle University (DLSU) returns to Manila after visiting his hometown for the holidays.
However, the Bacolod City native will be unable to suit up for the KaTropa until he completes his obligations with the Makati Super Crunch in the ongoing 2019-2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup.
At TNT, Montalbo joins veteran guards Jayson Castro and Ryan Reyes, along with former DLSU teammate Almond Vosotros.
