A senior citizen was found dead in a shallow grave last week in Ilog’s Barangay Tabu. The victim was identified by the Ilog municipal police as 60-year-old Melba Paglumotan, a widow and resident of the barangay’s Sitio Tabionan.
Initial investigations revealed Paglumotan was covered by soil and sugarcane leaves after being buried in a shallow grave at a sugarcane plantation. According to police, the victim sustained a hematoma towards the back portion of her body, two stab wounds to her right arm, and her neck was broken.
Police are conducting a follow up investigation to identify the suspect and determine a motive behind the killing./DGB, WDJ
