Man threatens neighbor with grenade in Singcang-Airport

A 54-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon after he allegedly threatened his neighbor with a grenade at Purok 1 Magsungay in Bacolod City’s Barangay Singcang-Airport. Police identified the suspect as Kerwin Rivera, a resident of the said community.
Police Station 8 (PS8) said the victim, 43-year-old Joel Benjamin, complained to police after he was threatened by Rivera.
PS8 immediately conducted a follow-up operation which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Police recovered one fragmentation grenade from the suspect’s possession.
Aside from the criminal charge of making a grave threat, Rivera may also face charges for illegal possession of explosives.
He is currently detained at PS8./DGB, WDJ
