The Iloilo United Royals are scheduled to play another 2019-2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup home game next month, when they face Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines on January 18 at the University of San Agustin Gym in Iloilo City. The game begins at 9:00 p.m.
In their previous meetings in Iloilo City, the home side failed to take the win. They lost 56-52 to the Pasay Voyagers last September, then fell 89-76 to the Davao Occidental Tigers.
“I told the players that we should believe we can beat them,” said Iloilo team owner Julio Jalandoni Javelosa. “We just have to believe in ourselves.”
“Lahat naman ng teams sa MPBL beatable basta complete lineup namin (As long as we have a complete line-up, every MPBL team is beatable),” he added.
Iloilo currently holds a 15-9 record in the southern division.
Prior to the the game, the San Juan Knights take on the Davao Occidental Tigers at 7:00 p.m./ASC, WDJ
