Three persons were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, December 30, along Capitan Sabi Street in Purok Azucena in the Talisay City’s Barangay Zone 4.

Talisay City OIC police chief, Major Jigger Gimeno, identified the three as Rumolo Fernandez Banarez, Jr. alias “Moloy,” 28, single, utility worker at Talisay City government, a high-value target (HVT), and resident of the place; Glennie Jake Suanque, 26, single; and Renan Quidato Apuhin, 41, single, and pedicab driver of the said city.

Police confiscated six heat sealed of suspected shabu worth P2,500 using one P500 buy-bust money; cash proceeds of P950 and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were detained at Talisay City PNP lockup cell and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
